Millions tuned in to the season finale of NBC's hit comedy, The Office. This time, instead of the usual antics at the Scranton Dunder-Mifflin building, Jim, Pam, Dwight and the gang headed to the company picnic where they played ... you guessed it ... volleyball. Or something vaguely resembling what we call volleyball.

After watching Dwight slap setting the ball, Jim hitting the ball with his fist and the blocker rolling around in the net, I began to cringe. Even Pam, the supposed "ringer," who boasted that she played in college was displaying a more-than-a-little-disturbing scissor kick "jump serve." I have to admit it was funny and I do love it when our little sport gets some pub in prime time. But does it always have to be so painful to watch?
