When Does Heckling Become Harassment?

This week, I share with you the story of heckling gone wrong at Tufts University. I think we can all agree that racist and sexually explicit comments cannot be tolerated. Read the details of the incident that got 27 members of the lacrosse team punished and publicly shamed and then let me know where you stand on all of this.

Anyone who has played volleyball at any level has dealt with raucous fans. Sometimes the crowds are hostile and sometimes the jeers are inappropriate. In the Tufts case, the hecklers obviously crossed the line. But where is the line?

Is there a place for heckling in our sport? Is there a double standard when it is women who are being harassed as opposed to men? In your opinion, when does heckling cross the line into harassment?

Hi there would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with? I’m looking to start
my own blog soon but I’m having a tough time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I’m
looking for something unique. P.S Sorry for being off-topic but I had to ask!
