More good news this week for NCAA sand volleyball. After the announcement earlier this month that the sport reached the 40 school threshold and will soon be an official NCAA Championship sport, the Pac-12 Network announced that it will actually give us an opportunity to view the action.
NCAA sand volleyball will debut on the Pac-12 Network this Thursday, March 27th with two matches - USC vs. Cal State Northridge and USC vs. Oregon. Three more matches will air on April 3rd and will include airtime for two more teams - UCLA and Loyola Marymount. Each of the five matches airing next week will take place at USC's Merle Norman Stadium.
The Pac-12 leads the NCAA in sand programs with eight of its 12 schools fielding teams this season, so it is fitting that the conference's network would be the first to step up. Here's hoping they will expand its coverage beyond LA next season.
