Volleyball shoes are probably one of the most asked about product that volleyball players ask about. Everyone is looking for that edge that will allow them to move faster, jump higher, and ultimately play better. What is surprising, sometimes price is not always better.

1. Asics Gel Alta

A strong shoe that won't wear down right away. The Gel Altra comes in a both a low and high ankle version. The shoe has a forgiving sole that provides traction while protecting the ankle. If you are worried about price, the hard-to-find Asics Gel Strategy is a great alternative.

2. Mizuno Wave Spike

If you don't like the feel of Asics, you might want to try this shoe. While it is a little more expensive, they do provide equal support and traction. One annoying thing about this shoe is the somewhat useless velcro strap across the top of the laces.

3. Asics Gel Skeet

This shoe compares to the better Asics Gel's except they don't last as long. For the price, if you like the feel and comfort of brand new shoes, this may be a good alternative for you.
