Guide Review
A Great Start to Volleyball
Geared toward the development of 6-14 year olds, Coaching Youth Volleyball takes a step-by-step approach to teaching the basics of volleyball in a safe and organized manner.  The book is designed to make a coach out of any parent or volunteer, regardless of experience or knowledge. The part of the book deals strictly with coaching issues such as communication, liability and different coaching styles.  Handy little quizzes help you answer questions that arise at the end of certain chapters.  The rest of the book deals with understanding the sport, rules, equipment, scoring, positions, etc.  The book covers basic drills and position information  in very broad strokes and coaches will need to look elsewhere to teach the nuances of positions.
