What is an Indoor Volleyball Made Of?
Most
quality volleyball's consist of three primary levels of construction.
The first level is a rubber bladder. Essentially, this rubber
bladder is the same material of a standard bike inner tube. Usually
the bladder is then either floating, partially attached or totally attached
to a cloth layer. This cloth layer
is made out of material that looks much like cheese cloth and is sealed
with a rubber like glue. The outer most layer, shell, is made of
leather
panels, normally 18, which are glued to the the cloth layer.
