Get Up and Go!

From Julie

The Drill

This drill emphasizes early movement to the ball, and speed in movement.

Players line at baseline. First two players lay down facing the net. Coach slaps ball on opposite side to signal the "get up and go" and sends a free ball to the court. One player must call the ball and pass to target. Passer goes to end of the line and a new player enters the drill. Player who didn't receive goes back to start drill again until she/he gets to pass the ball.

Added factors: Insert setter and hitter. Insert setter, who sets one of the players as a back row hitter - only original passer switches out.

Fun Rating: 4 out of 5
