Passing Freenzy

From Julie

A volleyball clubhouse drill

Fast paced drill that focuses on ball control. Players enjoy this busy but simple drill.

Split the team in half. Team A sets up a target (setter position). Two more players stand apart on the opposite court at the attack line and are tossers. The rest of Team A are feeders/shaggers for the tossers. Team B splits in half, taking the two corners (pos. 1&5) outside the court.

Team A's tossers begin the drill with a slap of the ball and tosses over the net at half court. A passer from each corner runs onto the court, and passes to the target. After the pass, each player runs OUTSIDE the court, to the opposite line.

Target person just dumps the balls under the net back to the tossers. If run correctly, balls are passed about every 3-5 seconds.

Benefits: LOTS of passing, keeps movement on the court, players focus on their skill.
