The Team Work Drill

From Gayle

A volleyball clubhouse drill.

For large teams or teams that work together. Gives you more contacts within a game like situation.

Two full teams

Team 1 SERVING Team 2

Team 2 is in serve receive and team 1 is serving. Team 1 serves and then the ball is played out just as if it were a game. regardless of the outcome, the same server on team 1 serves again. This server continues till they miss their serve, at which point both teams rotate and the next server on team 1 serves. (you can limit the number of serves if you have good servers)

After one rotation switch serving teams.

Team 1 ATTACKING Team 2

Team 2 is on defense. Blockers are at the net and ready. Coach tosses a ball to the setter on team 1 who sets a hitter and the rally is played out. Regardless of the outcome, the next ball is put into play by a toss from the coach to the team 1 setter.

Rotate after so many attacks or successful digs.

Switch attacking teams after one full rotation.
