life's not always fair, but do we have to teach our kids this at the early

A GREAT QUESTION!! There are
dozens of things. I could make a list forever.
-
Find cool music for match warmups.......aerobic-style
stuff is the BEST.
-
Have something to drink after every
HOME game......not the away ones, lest we spoil the kids
-
Have a little pizza thingee after a
tournament. YUM!!
-
Don't holler at refs! DONT DO
IT!!
-
Come to some practices and help pic
up balls, especially if the team only has 5 to 10 balls. So much
time can be wasted just picking up balls....it's wonderful to have some
help.
-
Help set up the gym before high school
games.
-
Learn to keep the scorebook at JO or
high school games and/or learn to run the scoreboard
-
Sell T's, bumper stickers, pins, etc
at home games
-
Help the team travel to summer camps.
Last summer I brought SEVEN girls back from camp in my mini van......had
to rent a U-Haul trailer. So I charged all the parents $15 more so
that we could get home. That was sad. Visit the girls at their
summer camp......they miss the moms and they've LOVE to see her!!
Oh, and bring chocolate! haha
-
Pick up trophies at the engraving company,
but don't peek at the names on them! :)
-
Fill out forms for tournaments, for
the state high school association, or for JO tournaments
-
Be the JO treasurer w/o asking for a
stipend
-
Be a JO team mom
Other coaches would tell you other things,
but all would say that coach don't need parents' money......we need errands,
time, and help.
If you have other questions that
you think I should address, please send me an email.
