Book Review
Volleyball Cybernetics
Dated:  03/23/99

Volleyball is a mental sport.  Regardless of skills, teams and individual players must have the right attitude and self-confidence to win.  That's why I recommend that every serious volleyball player and coach have a copy of this book on their night stand and read it every night.  Successful people in every career field have said that positive reading and re-programing their minds have contributed greatly to their ultimate success.  Authors Stan Kellner and Dave Cross have put together the correct motivational reading and teaching that will enable you to reprogram your mind to turn negative situations into positive ones and positive ones into moments to live by.  After just one reading, the lessons of this book crept into my mind while I was on the court; miss-hits became learning experiences and every small victory became a moment of celebration.

However, the book does not stop with the individual.  Coaches should read and utilize the powerful teachings on how to turn the attitudes of the entire team around.  With drills and techniques taught in this book, coaches can turn a poorly motivated team around and give them the confidence, drive and motivation that will propel them onto the court and intimidate even the best teams with their aggressiveness.

Are you a serious player or coach?  Then get this book!
