Very sad news came from the Russian Federation last week. Sergey Ovchinnikov, the Russian women's Olympic team coach, was found hanged last week in his Croatian hotel room. USAV Announces Preliminary World League Roster
USAV has named 22 players to the preliminary roster for the 2009 World League tournament. The roster will be cut to 19 by the end of April and 12 players will be chosen from that group to play each weekend.
Women Likely to Begin Training in Anaheim, CA
The USA women's national team is likely to move from Colorado Springs to Anaheim to train for the 2012 Olympics. The men's team made the move in 2006.
