5. Todd and Phil Dominate
With all the buzz around the demise of the AVP, one story went grossly under-reported. Beach pair Todd Rogers and Phil Dalhuasser put together an incredible season of big wins despite the disarray of their sport. The pair won every single event with the exception of one on a technicality - the final against Matt Fuerbringer and Nick Lucena was called off due to bad weather.

In 2010, Todd and Phil not only dominated the domestic tour, but the international tour as well. They won the FIVB Title by in grand fashion, winning nine FIVB tournaments and 75 out of the 86 matches they played. They set a record for single-season winnings by a men’s team with $387,700 in earnings. Todd and Phil were basically unbeatable this year making them officially the best team in the world. Staying there for the two long remaining years before London will be an incredible accomplishment, but by the looks of these two this season, it's tough to imagine anything different.
