Setting Drill
Use a basketball court and basket to teach good ball control.

This drill teaches setters to use their heads, literally.
Volleyball Setting: 2 setters movement
Trains setters movement and displacement as well as ball contorl. Designed for two setters at a time.

Bump and Set Drill
A four person drill that will teach players to move to the ball while passing and setting.
Kill the Setter
Practice making the transition from defense to setting and back again. Uses hitters, a coach, and the setter.
Old Drill
From New Jersey area Volleyball, this is a simple drill for setting and other skills.
Overhead Pepper
Overhead pepper is played with two people, similar to traditional pepper, but players hit to their partner's head, rather than toward their knees.
Read the Block
Teaches the setter to see what is happening on the other side of the net.
Reading the Block
A more advanced version of the Read the Block drill for the more experienced setter.
Set-Set-Kill
Setters practice transitioning to the net as fast as they can and then set to the outside hitter.
Setting Triangle
This a great drill for teaching setters to make good sets, facing the target and covering the target.
