2014 World League Schedule
The 2014 World League is going to be the biggest ever and the format has changed a bit. This time around, the top teams will be in two pools of four. Each team in Pools A & B will play the other teams in its pool four times - twice at home and twice away. The top two teams from the top two pools will move on to the final round of six along with host country Italy and the overall winner from Polls C, D & E. USA is in Pool B along with Russia, Serbia and Bulgaria. World League play runs from May 23rd through July 20th.

Iran Bans Females From Attending World League...
The Iranian men’s team scored a huge victory with two wins over perennial powerhouse Italy over the weekend in World League competition. The wins show that Iran can compete with some of the best teams in the world and that they are becoming a world class program. I wish that was the entirety of the World League news to come out of that country this week. But that good news was overshadowed by an incredible decision by the Iranian government to ban all women from attending World League matches.
